In The Cycle Frontier, Brightcap Mushroom is an item you’re likely going to be on the search for due to some quests. Where can you find Brightcap Mushrooms?
Click to enlargeIn terms of actually finding a Brightcap Mushroom in The Cycle Frontier, it is actually quite easy. They do only spawn on the Bright Sands map, but you can find them all the way along the left-hand side from the Jungle down to the Swamp area. The north side of the Jungle by the Crashed Ship and the Rock Pools area are particular hot spots though if you want to head straight there first.
There are two variants of the mushroom however - the first is just the standard Brightcap Mushroom which is recognisable by its teal colour, but the second is the Glowy Brightcap Mushroom which is purple and can only be harvested during a storm.
You can find the standard variant at any time in its usual spawn locations, but the Glowy version replaces the standard when the storm is active. The storm happens rather infrequently and can be extremely dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing, making foraging for the Glowy Brightcap Mushroom a tough challenge.

How to survive the storm in The Cycle Frontier
Click to enlargeLuckily, The Cycle Frontier Glowy Brightcap Mushrooms spawn next to two areas that offer really good protection from the storm. The camp next to the Rock Pools or the Crashed Ship itself are great places to move in and out while the storm is active, but you must choose when you leave these safe spots wisely, and make sure you have enough healing for when you do get caught by the storm.
You’ll have to wait it out until the storm has finished regardless of when you decide that you’re done, as extraction ships cannot be summoned until the weather is clear.
