Spring into Spring is well underway in Pokemon GO. With it, comes a variety of new Pokemon, bonuses, raids, the Collection Challenge, and much more. Let's get into all there is to know in this Spring into Spring event Pokemon GO guide.

Spring into Spring event Pokemon GO: Dates, new Pokemon, Collection Challenge & more

Dates

As confirmed on the official Pokemon GO blog post, the Spring into Spring Pokemon GO event is currently underway, from Tuesday 4 April 2023 at 10AM to Monday, 10 April 2023 at 8PM local time. 

Although starting and ending slightly earlier than last year's Spring into Spring event, the runtime of six days is the same. 

New Pokemon

As is custom with many events in Pokemon GO, the Spring into Spring event has seen the debut of two new Pocket Monsters into the game, which are now available: 

  • Cutiefly
  • Ribombee

What's more, Spring into Spring has also launched costumed versions adorned with cherry blossoms of the following Pokemon:

  • Pichu (shiny available)
  • Pikachu (shiny available)
  • Raichu
  • Eevee (shiny available)
  • Vaporeon
  • Jolteon
  • Flareon
  • Espeon
  • Umbreon
  • Leafeon
  • Glaceon
  • Sylveon

Event Bonuses

As part of the Pokemon GO Spring into Spring event, players will receive the following bonuses for taking part until the end date of 10 April: 

  • 2 x Hatch Candy from Eggs
  • 0.5 x Egg Hatch Distance for Eggs when placed in an Incubator
  • Lucky Eggs will last for 60 minutes instead of 30 minutes

Throughout the Spring into Spring Event in Pokemon GO, the following Pokemon will more often as wild encounters: 

  • Pikachu - Cherry Blossom costume (shiny available)
  • Jigglypuff
  • Eevee - Cherry Blossom costume (shiny available)
  • Marill (shiny available)
  • Whismur (shiny available)
  • Buneary - flower crown costume (shiny available)
  • Bnnelby (shiny available)
  • Cutiefly

Raids

For the duration of the Spring into Spring event in Pokemon GO, these particular Pokemon will be appearing in raids of various levels:

One-star raids

  • Pikachu - cherry blossom costume (shiny available)
  • Jigglypuff (shiny available)

  • Cutiefly

Three-star raids

  • Exeggutor
  • Alolan Exeggutor (shiny available)

During the Spring into Spring event in Pokemon GO, the following Pokemon will hatch from 2KM Eggs acquired before the 10 April end date: 

  • Eevee - cherry blossom costume (shiny available)

  • Azurill (shiny available)
  • Happiny - flower crown costume (shiny available)
  • Munchlax (shiny available)

Field Research task encounters

As rewards for completing Field Research tasks, you can encounter the following Pokemon until the end of the Spring into Spring event:

  • Pikachu - cherry blossom costume (shiny available)
  • Chansey - flower crown costume (shiny available)
  • Eevee - cherry blossom costume (shiny available)
  • Togetic - flower crown costume (shiny available)

Spring into Spring Collection Challenge

Like previous events, Pokemon GO's Spring into Spring has launched a collection challenge for its duration - tasking you to catch a full selection of particular Pokemon for rewards. Before the end of Spring into Spring on 10 April, you'll need to obtain the following Pokemon:

  • Whismur
  • Bunnelby
  • Buneary - flower crown costume
  • Marill
  • Eevee - cherry blossom costume
  • Pikachu - cherry blossom costume
  • Cutiefly
  • Ribombee (by evolving Cutiefly)
  • Diggersby (by evolving Bunnelby)
  • Lopunny (by evolving Buneary)

Afterwards, you'll receive 10000XP, Stardust x 5000, Lucky Egg x 1 as rewards for completing the challenge.
