Pokemon GO Rediscover Kanto Special Research tasks & rewards

One of the highlights of Pokemon GO's Rediscover GO Campaign is Rediscover Kanto and the inclusion of biomes. Pokemon from the Kanto region will now appear in specific biomes, so to catch all of the original 151, you must get out and investigate these different environments!

So let's review all the Special Research tasks and rewards in the game's Rediscover Kanto event.

Use five Berries to help catch Pokemon	Bulbasaur Encounter
Feed your buddy five times	Charmander Encounter
Catch 20 Pokemon originally discovered in the Kanto region	Squirtle Encounter

Completion Rewards: 5,000 XP, 2,500 Stardust, and a Lucky Egg

Use ten Berries to help catch Pokemon	20 Poke Balls
Play with your buddy three times	15 Great Balls
Catch 30 Pokemon originally discovered in the Kanto region	Ten Ultra Balls

Completion Rewards: 5,000 XP, 2.500 Stardust, and three Fast TMs

Use 15 Berries to help catch Pokemon	Ten Razz Berries
Earn 25 hearts with your buddy	Ten Nabab Berries
Catch 40 Pokemon originally discovered in the Kanto region	Ten Pinap Berries

How to get the Rediscover Kanto Special Research

The Rediscover Kanto Special Research is available for free to all Trainers as of April 22, 2024, and you have until May 9, 2024, to begin this particular Special Research.

Take one look at the tasks in Step 5, and you can quickly gather that this Special Research was not meant to be completed any time in the near future. Special Research does not expire, though, so as long as you start it before the Rediscover Kanto Event ends, you'll have as long as you need to complete it!

Interact with your Buddy Pokemon and explore Pokemon GO's new biomes for Kanto Pokemon to complete the Rediscover Kanto Special Research and earn loads of XP, Stardust, and all sorts of useful goodies, including a Lure Module and an Egg Incubator!
