Date and times

As confirmed on the official Pokemon GO blog post, Pokemon GO's Togetic Community Day will take place on Saturday, 15 April 2023 from 2PM to 5PM local time. During this time, Togetic - the Togepi evolution - will appear more frequently in the wild.

This is a standard timeframe for Pokemon GO Community Days, taking place either on a Saturday or Sunday for around 3 hours.

If you miss the 2PM to 5PM timeframe, you can still catch Togetic in the bonus Raid Battles taking place afterwards. From 5PM to 10PM, also on Saturday, 15 April 2023, players can take part in four-star raids with Togetic as a raid boss.

If you defeat a Togetic raid boss, not only will you have a chance to catch it, but more Togetic will appear around the gym for 30 minutes as well.

Research

Field Research

As event-exclusive Field Research, the Togetic Community Day will offer limited-time tasks with certain rewards. Although we don't currently know what exactly the tasks and rewards will be, Leek Duck has provided speculation based on other Community Days of the following:

Task Possible Rewards
Catch 3 Togetic Togetic encounter (688-732CP)
  Great Ball x 5
  Ultra Ball x 2
  Pinap Berry x 2
  Stardust x 500

Special Research

Also in line with recent Community Days, the Togetic Community Day will have for sale optional Special Research that will provide access to an exclusive Special Research story, for the cost of $1.00 (or the equivalent in other currencies).

Although we won't know what tasks and rewards these involve until the Community Day starts, the Spreading Cheer Special Research will most likely involve opportunities for additional Togetic encounters and Togepi Candies.

Rewards

The biggest reward in the Togetic Community Day will be the opportunity to get a Togekiss with an exclusive move.

From the start of the event, if you evolve a Togetic by 10PM local time on Saturday, 15 April 2023, the resulting Togekiss will learn the Fighting-type Charged Attack, Aura Sphere, a move it couldn't know normally.

Event bonuses

Whilst taking part in the Pokemon GO event on 15 April, the Togetic Community Day will reward you with the following bonuses:

  • 2 x Catch Candy
  • 0.25 x Hatch Distance required for Eggs
  • 2 x chance to receive Candy XL for caught Pokemon (Trainers level 31+)
  • Lure Modules will last for 3 hours instead of 30 minutes
  • Incense will last for 3 hours instead of 60 minutes
  • Smeargle encounters will be available by taking snapshots
  • 2 Special Trades can be made for the day instead of 1.
  • 2 x chance of hatching Togepi from 2KM Eggs - with a higher chance of hatching a shiny Togepi.

In the aforementioned blog post, Pokemon GO also mentioned "while most bonuses are only active during the three-hour event period, these bonuses will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time".

That's all you need to know about the Togetic Community Day Pokemon GO date, times, raids, research, and rewards.
