Where to get Solar Panels, Wires and Light Bulbs in Sons of the Forest: How to get electricity
The latest Sons of the Forest update has completely revamped the way players build their bases with the inclusion of electricity. Now, with the use of Solar Panels, Wires and Light Bulbs in Sons of the Forest, players can bring a touch of home to the cannibalistic island.

How to get electricity from Solar Panels in Sons of the Forest

Solar Panels, Bulbs and Wires can now be used to build an electrical circuit which will bring light to your bases. Although seemingly a small touch, this is a huge step for the game as it paves the way for new electrical blueprints in the future.
To build a circuit you must open your guidebook from the inventory section and make sure you have it equipped in your right hand.
Click to enlargeThe blueprint for basic electricity will require you to first build a ramp and square frame out of logs, then you must place a Solar Panel on the base, connect Wire to it and then attach the wire to a Light Bulb on the square frame.
The circuit can be expanded with more frames Bulbs if you wish to have multiple sources of light, so far, the power doesn’t seem to diminish with more sources of light.

Solar Panels may prove tricky to get as they cannot be crafted via the guidebook menu. Instead, you must scavenge for them at abandoned camps via the map above. A good location to find Solar Panels seems to be in rooms that contain 3D Printers, there are usually extra Light Bulbs on the shelving in these rooms also.
Click to enlargeYou can find Light Bulbs and Wire in supply crates in abandoned camps too, the supply crates usually have yellow tops which make them easier to spot.
Wire is one of the most common materials which can spawn inside caves too.
