The Sims 4 Royalty Mod: Features

The Sims 4 royalty mod by Llazyneiph, introduces the following gameplay mechanics to the game:

• The 'Missing Royal' aspiration
• The 'Monarch' trait
• Monarch and assorted noble titles such as Duke and Earl which you can bestow upon other sims.
• Servants for hire for cooking, gardening, and other utility tasks.
• Heirs to the throne, who inherit the 'Monarch' trait
• Each monarch reigns in their world of residence, meaning there is a monarch for each expansion world.
• Royal Family Lore skill
• New royalty-themed events include a press conference, coronation, royal audience, and royal banquet. During a royal audience, sims from the neighbourhood can air grievances and the monarch can choose a negative or positive way to solve their issues. This will impact their reputation depending on what they choose.
• The 'Monarch of The Land' career (this is a rabbit hole career which earns you 500 simoleons an hour on top of taxes).
• Tax system where your monarch can raise or lower taxes.
• Other court servants such as knights, a court wizard, and a court adviser. These titles can be bestowed on the sims of your choice.
• Execute animation and interaction.
• Other royal-specific interactions
• A class system of peasants and gentry depending on your sim family's household income and household value.
• Peasants can 'Hunt for Food' or gather fruit in the wild for meals.
• Peasant's shoes can weather away if excessively worn, after which they will have to get another pair.
• The mod comes with some build mode furniture such as the coronation podium and throne, however, there is no clothing custom content included. This means if you want your royals to look the part you may wish to look for other custom content.

The Sims 4 Royalty Mod: Missing Royal Aspiration

The new aspiration which comes with the mod is called 'Missing Heir'. The aspiration goals amount to having your sim become influential by gaining friendships with lots of sims and becoming famous. They must also level up their charisma skill and royal family lore skill to discover the truth about their mysterious heritage.

Once all goals are complete the sim can hold a press conference in which they tell the world they are the missing heir. The gameplay is relatively similar to Get Famous, meaning paparazzi will show up to greet your sim and take photos whilst they talk.

You can earn fame by:

• Playing an instrument in public
• Winning a game tournament
• Performing acting scenes in public
• Joining the acting career
• Selling paintings or publishing books
• Casting spells in public
• Selling archaeological finds
• Exploring space
• Using scientific inventions
• Being an influencer and publishing fashion articles.
• Using the 'testingcheats on' command, then the fame cheat. (Hold down Shift and right-click your sim, select Pack Cheats > Expansion Packs > EP06 Get Famous… > Public Image… > Increase Celebrity Level).

The Sims 4 Royalty Mod: Prerequisites

The mod uses the 'Get Famous' fame system to determine how popular you are as a monarch. This means you will need The Sims 4: Get Famous pack to be able to play with the mod.

As per Llazyneiph's instructions, you'll also need the XML and Trait Injector mods, both are linked on their Patreon page here.

The Sims 4 Royalty Mod: How To Download

The Sims 4 royalty mod by Llazyneiph can be downloaded from their Patreon page here, along with the XML and Trait Injector mods.

Once downloaded, make sure to extract the files from folders and copy them into your mods folder. This is usually found in the following destination:

Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods

Now load up your game and enable script mods. To do so click on Options > Game Options > Other > tick the box titled 'Enabled Script Mods'. Next, restart your game and the mods should be available to use.
