The Sims 4 Horse Ranch items: All CAS & build mode objects listed

The Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion is galloping closer to release, leaving many of us wondering what Sims 4 Horse Ranch CAS and build mode items will be released along with the pack.

So far, The Sims 4 developer Maxis has alluded to embracing a mixture of Western American frontier and Native American themes in the pack, with inclusions such as Native American hairstyles and recipes like Three Sisters Chilli and Western-themed ranch items.

During the official July Sims 4 Horse Ranch livestream, Maxis revealed a multitude of CAS (create-a-sim) items across all life stages of Sims, which we can expect to see when the pack releases on July 20.

Perhaps most excitedly are the new horse clothing and tack items, which vary in style to more traditional riding attire, light-hearted western-themed items and even two unicorn horn options!

Listed below are all The Sims 4 Horse Ranch CAS items revealed so far:

All Horse Ranch CAS items for horses

During The Sims 4 Horse Ranch livestream, Maxis developers showcased the in-depth CAS customisation for horses, with over 30 horse breeds available, you can pick your horse's coat from a selection of pre-sets or play with the colour wheel in a similar way to The Sims 4: Cats and Dogs.

There were also the following CAS items revealed:

• Horse accessories including horse wraps for legs.
• Two tail accessory options, one in the shape of a bow and the other resembling a small rose at the top of the tail.
• Two hat options for your horse – a flower crown and an adorable cowboy hat.
• Two blanket options to drape across your horse's back.
• Horses will have two outfit options, an everyday outfit and a riding outfit which the horse will switch into automatically when your sim is out riding.
• Numerous tack equipment including two bridle types and saddles in both English and American-western styles.
• Two unicorn horn accessory options.
• Five colour channels with numerous pattern options to make a unique coat for your horse.
• Seven body presets.
• Up to three traits (one option of which is hidden in CAS and can only be obtained by breeding foals).
• Four different tail presets.

All Horse Ranch CAS items for Sims

Along with the above horse CAS items, The Sims 4 Horse Ranch livestream also showcased a variety of clothing options for all life stages in The Sims 4.

Listed below are all the CAS items for Sims cited to be included within The Sims 4 Horse Ranch pack:

• A horse-themed onesie for infant Sims

For children Sims:

• Five hairstyles
• Two new tops
• Two new bottoms
• One full outfit
• Two cowboy boot options
• Two hat options, one cowboy and the other a riding-themed one.

For older Sims:

• Ten new hairstyles
• Eleven feminine tops (although twenty tops are rumoured to be included overall via The Sims Community)
• Ten feminine bottom options, including skirts, chaps, jeans, and riding attire.
• Six full-body feminine outfits.
• Accessories including two cowboy hats, one cap, two necklaces, two rag neckerchiefs, riding gloves, two other hats, two dangle earring options, and a riding hat.
• Three full-body masculine outfits.
• Five types of shoes, including riding boots and cowboy boots.
• Three masculine bottom options.
• Ten masculine tops (19 tops are featured on The Sims Community blog post here).
• Three new facial hair/moustache options.
• One masculine necklace.

Horses also come with their own hairstyles! You can equip fringes and extra hair pieces on a horse's head via create-a-sim.

The key theme of The Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion is the blend of Native American and Western influences. As such, we can expect to see some serious rancher mansion builds following the pack's launch this July.

Luckily, we caught a glimpse of some of the key Sims 4 Horse Ranch build mode items during the live stream earlier this month. The following items will be added to the expansion pack:

• Horse stalls where horses can eat, relax and bed down for the night, you'll need to keep these clean of manure to keep horses happy.
• The Firebox, a new grill to cook dishes out in the open.
• Sleeping bag kits.
• A new barn door which is large enough to accommodate horses.
• Two ranch signs – these can be decorated with various wall hangings, some of which are ranch-themed and can only be unlocked by levelling up the horse's skills.
• A new Horse Ranch-themed kitchen set with rustic 'old farmhouse' swatches.
• A Community Board (where you can buy/adopt horses, discover more about the neighbourhood and hire a ranch hand to help look after the animals).
• 12 windows
• Five doors (including the new barn door).
• Basketball
• Trough
• Bunkbed
• Two double bed
• Wardrobe (as part of a new country-themed bedroom set).
• Cowhide chair
• Two couch options.
• Two cabinets
• Three different low-hanging ceiling lights.
