Whether you can catch shiny Skorupi in Pokemon GO is likely on many Trainer's minds since its dedicated Spotlight Hour for Tuesday 23 May 2023, was announced - after all, the Scorpion Pokemon has arguably one of the most interesting alternatively coloured variants in the game.

So, let's get into the answer in this shiny Skorupi Pokemon GO guide.

Fortunately, yes, Skorupi can be shiny in Pokemon GO, meaning that whilst you're out exploring, coming across a shiny variant of the Scorpion 'mon is a possibility. Despite this, the Spotlight Hour doesn't increase your likelihood of encountering the colour variant. That's because whilst Spotlight Hours does boost your encounter rate of the featured Pokemon, the standard shiny encounter rate of 1-in-500 remains the same.

So, if you really want a shiny Skorupi in Pokemon GO, be sure to look out for a Skorupi Community Day. Not only would this feature the debut of the shiny version, but the odds of a shiny encounter would be greatly increased as well.

That's not all, though, as one of the best parts about catching Skorupi during its featured Spotlight Hour is that for every Skorupi catch, you'll be rewarded with 2 x XP for evolving Pokemon.

That's all you need to know about Skorupi's shiny form in Pokemon GO. Be sure to check out how to unlock Willow's Wardrobe for your avatar, or alternatively, take a look at all there is to know about the new Pokemon GO Shadow Raids.
