To celebrate Valentine's Day in Pokemon GO, Incarnate Forme Enamorus is making its first-ever appearance in Pokemon GO.

The Legendary Force of Nature's Fairy/Flying typing is intriguing, and with the right moveset, this Pokemon has the potential to make waves in PvE and PvP. So, let's review the best moveset for Enamorus and if the Love-Hate Pokemon is any good in the game's PvE and PvP arenas.

Best moveset for Enamorus in Pokemon GO

The best moveset for Enamorus in PvP Battles is Fairy Wind as a Fast Move with Dazzling Gleam and Fly as its Charged Moves. If you're looking to use Enamorus as a Raid attacker, Fairy Wind and Dazzling Gleam will suffice.

Not only does Fairy Wind benefit from STAB, but it's also spammable and generates Energy extremely quickly. Enamorus's alternative Fast Moves, Astonish and Zen Headbutt are suboptimal in both PvE and PvP.

As for Charged Moves, Grass Knot is nearly worthless in PvE, so you're left with only Dazzling Gleam and Fly. Thankfully, both of these Charged Moves are relatively viable. Fly, especially, synergies with Fairy Wind perfectly to counter opposing Fighting-type Pokemon and dual-types weak to Fairy-types.

In PvP, Grass Knot is situationally useful for coverage against Rock, Water, and Ground-type Pokemon, but you'll rarely want to use it over Fly and Dazzling Gleam. Fly is Enamorus's cheapest Charged Move, and it actually deals substantial damage for its cost, in part thanks to STAB. Dazzling Gleam costs a fortune to use, but with it, Enamorus can put up a fight against the widely popular Dragon-type Pokemon prevalent in the Master League.

All moves Enamorus can learn

Since Enamorus is brand-new to Pokemon GO, This Fairy/Flying-type Pokemon is limited to only three Fast Moves and three Charge Moves:

Fast Moves

  • Fairy Wind
  • Astonish
  • Zen Headbutt

Charged Moves

  • Dazzling Gleam
  • Fly
  • Grass Knot

Conveniently, all you need to teach Enamorus these attacks is a Fast TM or Charged TM. However, expect additional moves to be made available to Enamorus in the future!

Is Enamorus any good?

The combination of Fairy Wind and Dazzling Gleam makes Enamorus a formidable Fairy-type attacker, but since Fairy-types overall aren't very strong in the current meta, this moveset underwhelms. On the other hand, Fly is an excellent Charged Move in PvE, but Enamorus lacks a Flying-type Fast Move and there are just so many better Pokemon to use against the Pokemon that are weak to Flying-type attacks.

In PvP, Enamorus is serviceable in the Ultra League and even more so in the Master League. It's a Glass Cannon through and through, but its Fairy/Flying-typing gives it an impressive list of resistances. The problem with Enamorus is that, while its Attack stat is remarkably high, it still can't win against most Steel-types, and because it's so fragile, many of the typings Enamorus is resistant to in the Ultra and Master Leagues are capable of beating it, too.

Enamorus thrives in select matchups, but if an opposing Trainer knows what they're doing and has assembled a diverse team, they'll probably make quick work of the Love-Hate Pokemon.
