When you reach the near end of your journey in Salazar's Castle in Resident Evil 4 Remake, right before the Clocktower and Ramon boss battle, you will find a Blue Request Note in Resident Evil 4 Remake for a quest called Jewel Thief. For this, you must find a particular Crow Nest to obtain the Scratched Emerald from it.

While the rough location of the crow's nest is given in the quest's description, finding it is daunting, thanks to the dark lighting in the game.

So, to make sure you are not stuck with the quest like we were, keep reading this guide that explains how to find the Crow Nest and obtain the Scratched Emerald in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Where to find the Crow Nest and obtain the Scratched Emerald

In Resident Evil 4 Remake, you can obtain the Scratched Emerald by shooting down the Crow's Nest found in the Courtyard area of the Castle. It's above the entrance to the Merchant's room, right where you get separated from Ashley.

Once you get the Jewel Thief side quest, instead of using the cable car to the Clocktower, navigate through the Ballroom and make your way towards the Courtyard via the Grand Hall.

After that, run straight through the maze toward the entrance of the Courtyard with the Gazebo on the right side. Once you are there, while facing towards the Gazebo, turn right to find the entrance leading towards the Merchant NPC's room.

Look above the entrance and you will find the thieving crow's nest with the Scratched Emerald. Shoot it down and collect the Scratched Emerald. Once that is done, go and talk to the Merchant NPC, select the Sell option, and sell the Scratched Emerald to complete the Jewel Thief side quest.

To make things a little easier, we have shared the Crow Nest location on the below map screenshot:

Remember, if you progress towards the Clocktower and take the lift found within it, you will not be able to complete the Jewel Thief quest, as it is one of many points of no returns.

At the beginning of Chapter 12, after you take the lift from the Hive to reach the surface, you will find yourself on the other side of the Ballroom. The Jewel Thief Blue Request Note is attached to the wall outside the Merchant NPC's room, along with another Blue Request Note that triggers the side quest 'The Disgrace of the Salazar Family'.

That concludes our guide on how to find the Crow Nest and obtain Scratched Emerald in Resident Evil 4 Remake. For more on Resident Evil 4 Remake, keep reading GGRecon.
