During chapter 8 of the main Resident Evil 4 Remake story, you'll be split up from Ashley again and visited by Ada who will warn Leon about his mission. Your path ahead in Resident Evil 4 Remake will be blocked however by a Lithographic Stone Puzzle which requires you to place the correct tables in the right slots.

If you're struggling to find the answer to the Lithographic Stone Puzzle in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, stick around and we'll show you how to complete it.

Where can you find the Lithographic Stones?

To complete the puzzle in the game, you'll first need to find all the stone tables. Luckily, these are all within the same room in the Bindery where you have just encountered Ada.

One tablet is already in the wall, the other three are in the following locations:

  • Lithographic Stone B: Next to the puzzle wall on the bookshelf.
  • Lithographic Stone C: On the pile of books close to the Bindery entrance.
  • Lithographic Stone D: Inside the glass cabinet near the corner of the room, you'll need to hit it with a melee attack to break the glass and free it.

As you gather the stone tablets, you'll notice that they each have a colored symbol encased in either a hexagon or a square, surrounded by other embellishments.

The key to the puzzle is figuring out which symbol, shape, and color belongs in which slot. Don't forget that each tablet is double-sided and can be rotated.

The puzzle answer lies in the faded symbols next to the tablet slots, match these with the correct tablets to open the passageway.

You'll notice that the symbols of the left and top slots are still mostly intact so we know that the left tablet must be a red helmet inside a hexagon and the top must be a red shield inside a square.

The symbols of the lines right and bottom panels are trickier to work out as they have mostly faded away. We can see that they must be blue, and the bottom piece contains a hexagon, whilst the right piece must be a square.

You'll need to put the following tables into the slots and rotate them:

  • Left piece – put the red tablet containing the helmet inside a hexagon shape here (Lithographic Stone A).
  • Top piece – put the red tablet containing a shield inside a square here (Lithographic Stone C).
  • Bottom piece – put the blue tablet containing the armor inside the hexagon here (Lithographic Stone B).
  • Right piece – put the blue tablet containing the sword in a square here (Lithographic Stone D).

Once you have put the correct tablets into the slot, the wall should open to reveal the hidden passageway and the correct path forward.
