How to unlock Mercenaries Mode in Resident Evil 4 Remake
The iconic Mercenaries mode is back, this time for the Resident Evil 4 Remake, just two weeks after launch. If you're wondering how to unlock Mercenaries Mode in Resident Evil 4 Remake, stick around and we'll tell you how.
For any newcomers to the series, Mercenaries Mode is essentially a DLC that allows you to combat waves of enemies within time frames and compete for high ranks on leaderboards. You can also win rewards for doing so. Read on for more info on how to unlock the mode.
How to play Mercenaries Mode
You'll be pleased to know that Mercenaries Mode is a free DLC, available to anyone who owns the base version of the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

To play, you simply go to the storefront of you're chosen platform and download it from the library. Below are links to the following storefronts that you can follow to download Resident Evil 4 Remake Mercenaries Mod:
You don’t need to have finished the main campaign of the game to access the DLC, although it is recommended as some of the maps are from later areas of the game.

As of writing, there are three maps in Mercenaries Mode, these are taken from the three main areas:
- The Village
- Salazar Castle
- The Island
You'll have a limited time to kill as many enemies as possible, playing as Leon or one of the three additional unlockable characters.
