To celebrate Pokemon GO's Rowlet Community Day, there's a new Special Research story called 'Of a Feather' with some great rewards on offer for Trainers who manage to complete it.
Rowlet is finally headlining its own Community Day in Pokemon GO, which means fans around the world will be hunting down a rare Shiny version of this popular Alolan starter.
One way to speed this process up is to get a ticket for the event-exclusive Of a Feather Special Research story, as you'll earn bonus encounters with Rowlet alongside other handy items.

Here are all of the tasks and rewards in the Rowlet Community Day Special Research story:

Completion rewards: 5500 XP, Decidueye encounter, and 3 Rare Candies
You'll tick off the majority of these tasks during regular gameplay, but it's worth looking ahead for any challenges that require you to complete specific actions.
For example, you should wait until Step 2 before transferring any Rowlet you don't want as one of the tasks is to 'transfer 10 Rowlet'. Similarly, you should wait until Step 3 before evolving a Dartrix into Decidueye.
How to get the Of a Feather Community Day Special Research
The only way to get the Of a Feather Community Day Special Research story is by purchasing it from the in-game Shop for $0.99 or the equivalent pricing in your local currency (eg. £0.99 in the UK).
Once you've purchased a ticket, you'll need to log in to Pokemon GO during the Rowlet Community Day to claim the Special Research story. It runs from 2PM to 5PM local time on Saturday, January 6, 2024.
You can complete the Special Research story at your own pace once you've claimed it, as it doesn't have an expiration date, but it will be much easier to finish during the event as many tasks involve catching Rowlet.
