Lost Ark Perception Shards are yet another method players can use during the end-game to increase their item level and power with it, letting you take part in quests, activities, and more. There are several other items in Lost Ark that are useful for improving your power, but as you reach different tiers, it gets harder to find them. So make sure to check out our breakdown of how to find Lost Ark Perception Shards.

  • If you're looking for more end-game methods to massively boost your power, take a look at Lost Ark Gems.

The Perception Shards are a resource - or type of currency - but they have very limited use in terms of where they can be exchanged and the items you can earn from them - much like Lost Ark Disorder Crystals. The shards are used at the Chaos Dungeon vendor, which is an NPC that can be found in specific Lost Ark dungeons, along with the Exchange in any major city.

They can be exchanged for Engravings which determine your functions in combat, Lost Ark Harmony Shards, Harmony Leapstones, and Stone Fragments for upgrading your item level. Many of these items are key for use in the end-game as they help to improve the power potential of your character.

There are only two places in the game currently where the Perception Shards can be acquired - Chaos Dungeons and Chaos Gates. These are activities that players can run after reaching combat level 50, and the shards are earned as a standard reward for the completion of both. It's also worth noting these shards can only be earned when you are in tier one, meaning your item level is below 580. In higher tiers they are replaced with Guardian Shards, and the Shard of Purification.

Chaos Dungeons are harder than standard dungeons, but they can only be run twice a day for full rewards, after which you will only get diminishing returns and potentially no Perception Shards. Chaos Gates are timed events that occur randomly, so keep a look-out in your event calendar to see when these are available.

That's it for our breakdown of the Lost Ark Perception Shards, but you now know what their purpose is, and where they can be found during play.

While you're on the hunt for Perception Shards, don't forget to seek the Lost Ark Harmony Shards.
