Is Tower Of Fantasy On Console?
If you're looking for a Gacha game to play on console, we've got good news - despite earlier plans for Tower of Fantasy to be PC and mobile-only, it has made its way to PlayStation, too.
While the devs originally stated back in 2022 it was focused on its original platforms, PlayStation 4 and 5 owners can now check out the ambitious action-RPG.
Everything we know about Tower of Fantasy on console
The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of Tower of Fantasy arrived on August 8, 2023 - three days shy of the game's worldwide launch (although quite a bit later than its December 2021 Chinese launch).
That makes Tower of Fantasy available on all the same platforms that its rival in the Gacha game space, Genshin Impact, is on - although that game is still expected to come to Nintendo Switch in the future.
Do we know if Tower of Fantasy will come to Xbox or Nintendo Switch?
It's a fair question to ask, given the game has made the jump to Tower of Fantasy, but as yet there's no suggestion Tower of Fantasy will come to Xbox or Nintendo Switch.
Still, it wasn't all that long ago that the team at Perfect World didn't have any plans for PlayStation, either. In the game's official Discord, the team posted the following (thanks, PureXbox).
"Please do not misinterpret any false information you might find online or that has been said in the past, at the current moment there is no planned console release as we are working very hard to optimize and perfect mobile + PC clients."
It's also worth remembering that while Tower of Fantasy is on PlayStation, it doesn't yet offer full cross-save or cross-progression, so you won't be able to pick share your progress across PS4/PS5 and PC/mobile. Here's hoping we see an Xbox/Switch port that adds that functionality for all Tower of Fantasy players eventually.
