Ludwig may have a lot of love in his heart for his Twitch days. However, the YouTuber was upset to hear that the streaming platform is apparently still bitter following his switch over to its rival, YouTube, according to TheStockGuy.

After making his name on Twitch, Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren sent shockwaves across the streaming community when he announced that he had signed an exclusive deal with YouTube and leaving his Twitch empire behind him. However, the cinematic video he shared alongside the announcement has since been the butt of many a Twitch streamer's jokes, as Ludwig boasted about how he could stream copyrighted music "in this car". Then he proceeded to get banned for playing copyrighted material on multiple occasions.

Despite seemingly letting bygones be bygones, Jason "TheStockGuy" claimed that Twitch are still a bit "butthurt" over Ludwig's big move. So much so, that the Amazon-owned company refused to let him do an official interview with TheStockGuy on the platform. As you can imagine, Ludwig was clearly hurt by the news.

What Did TheStockGuy Say About Twitch?

During one of his Twitch streams on January 4, TheStockGuy was joined by his former fellow Twitch streamer Ludwig. TheStockGuy asked the YouTuber: "Did I ever tell you what happened with Twitch?". As Ludwig didn't know, TheStockGuy claimed: "Alright, so here's the thing. I was doing that interview episode with Twitch, and we didn't have anybody for the last episode. So, I said I'm bringing on Ludwig. Let's see if he'll come on. You said yes, they sent you the release, and I’m like 'final episode we’re going out with a bang'. They come back to me, and they say 'that’s a no, Ludwig can't come on'."

TheStockGuy was understandably shocked by the response and, after stating that Ludwig "didn't get banned, he just left", he told Twitch that he refused to do the interview unless his former Twitch buddy was allowed to join. However, TheStockGuy claimed that "the Suits" from Twitch then came back with another no and offered him a different interviewee. TheStockGuy apparently said: "Are you really that butthurt that he left?"

Despite claiming to have "pulled out all the stops for Ludwig", TheStockGuy admitted that he eventually "caved". This was due to the fact that he was aware he "needed to make friends" in order to secure his future on the platform.

How Did Ludwig Respond To The News About Twitch?

Unsurprisingly, Ludwig sounded hurt by the news and asked what he had done to provoke such a response from Twitch. TheStockGuy claimed it was because Ludwig "embarrassed them" due to his big move over to its rival platform, but he emphasised that was just his opinion, "they didn't say that, for the record."

Ludwig fans will recall that this isn't the first time that the YouTuber has been rebuffed by his former boss. Back in December 2021, Ludwig was snubbed from the Twitch recap, despite being one of the most popular streamers on the platform throughout the year. Although, Ludwig seems to be okay over on YouTube for now. There may have been a number of bumps in the road and the 26-year-old admitted it has been tough to get used to, but it won't be long until things feel "normal" again.
