Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren has spoken out after being snubbed from Twitch's 2021 Recap. Despite being one of the platforms most popular streamers of 2021, Ludwig fans found that he didn't appear their Twitch Recap list.

Ludwig sent shockwaves across the internet when he announced that he had set up shop exclusively with YouTube and waved goodbye to Twitch. In the three years Ludwig streamed on Twitch, he had accumulated a mind-blowing 3.1 million followers on the Amazon-owned platform. Not only that, but from March 22, 2021, to May 12, 2021 he was Twitch's most subscribed streamer.

So, despite an impressive year on Twitch, many of Ludwig's fans were surprised to find that the streamer did not appear in their 2021 Recap and had apparently been 'snubbed' by the company. Now, Ludwig has responded to the snub alongside some of his peers and shared his thoughts about the decision.

How Did Ludwig Respond To Being Snubbed By Twitch?

Ludwig first responded to the supposed Twitch Recap snub on Twitter in which he shared his disappointment at the news. In the tweet, Ludwig said: "I’m bummed that I was completely removed from the twitch recap. Although I understand it from a business perspective, it’s still sad to be erased from so many people’s year. Thanks to everyone who watched me, I appreciate you." The tweet was met with a wave of responses from Ludwig's fans who all sent their support and promised that he might not be on the official recap he would have been at the 'top of their lists'.

Ludwig was clearly still upset about the news, as he went on to his YouTube channel Mogul Mail to go into further detail about his feelings towards the snub and how he found out about it after being tweeted by his viewers. In the video, Ludwig said: "Twitch did a giant recap today, where basically, like the Spotify Wrapped, they showed you who you watched the most [...] and I found out that I was left out of it."

The streamer continued: "Even though I was live on twitch for 11 months of the year, one entire month and certainly was on of a couple of people's most top streamers or most top 5, they didn’t keep me in it." However, Ludwig claimed that he understood how the reason for the snub could have been a business decision "to spread awareness to creators who are still on the website, but damn. I spent a lot of months of the website, so it was a bit of a bummer I was left out."

Disguised Toast Responds To Ludwig's Twitch Recap Snub

Clearly, Ludwig wasn't the only streamer who was "bummed out" by the Recap snub as Jeremy "Disguised Toast" Wang, also shared his disappointment. Taking to Twitter, Disguised Toast retweeted Ludwig's post and added: "Ludwig pushed the boundaries of content on twitch for all of 2021. Even though he's not there anymore, I think he deserved the respect of being in the twitch recap. Keep your head up content king."

Ludwig may not have had the best start to his new career as a YouTuber, what with being banned from the platform three times in one week and getting caught in a number of copyright disputes. However, from the amount of support that the streamer has received following the Twitch snub, it's clear he has a plethora of fans ready to rally up and support him.
