It's all kicking off online as Imane "Pokimane" Anys has been threatened with legal action following her comments made towards Tyler "Ninja" Blevins. After "JiDion" was permanently banned from Twitch, Pokimane claims that Ninja tried to have his ban revoked even though JiDion harassed her.

The internet exploded with drama after famous Twitch streamer Pokimane was the target of a "hate raid" by popular YouTuber JiDion. After sending his followers to spam Pokimane with "L+Ratio", JiDion was subsequently given a two-week ban from Twitch, but he continued to harass her on Twitter and targeted her with "misogynistic" comments. Then, finally it all looked like the whole drama was put to bed for good when JiDion was permanently banned from Twitch, Pokimane continued streaming, and they all lived happily ever after. The end. Oh, how wrong we were.

Ninja then suddenly found his way into the mix after he made some comments regarding JiDion that Pokimane openly criticised live on stream. As a result, Pokimane has now been threatened with a potential legal battle from Ninja's reps.

What Happened Between Pokimane & Ninja?

The JiDion drama appeared to be done and dusted after he was permanently banned from Twitch. He later apologised to Pokimane directly in a YouTube video, begging him to let her back on Twitch because he "had to play Fortnite with Ninja" the next day. Ninja went ahead with the stream on January 17 and JiDion watched from home, but it wasn't long before the conversation quickly turned to JiDion in his absence.

Although the VODs from the stream have since disappeared, some parts were clipped even by Pokimane herself. For example, as JiDion's fans ask for Ninja to help have his ban revoked, Ninja said: "I could send a text message to my [Twitch] representative and say "JiDion says he's sorry". Alright, I'll do it." Although he didn't show the message to the camera, he did later proclaim that he had sent it, but he couldn't "promise a God damn thing" or that it would help JiDion in any way.

Another comment which had viewers divided was when Ninja gave some advice directly to JiDion himself who was watching from home. At one point, Ninja can be heard saying to JiDion "in the future don't say nothing negative things [...] if you're gonna ration b*itches, then stick to Twitter". He then specified that he meant b*tches in general and wasn't directing it directly at Pokimane.

Why Is Pokimane Being Threatened With Legal Action?

Following Ninja's comments, Pokimane quickly leapt into action taking to her own stream on January 17, to examine some of what Ninja said. She even recorded and clipped some of Ninja's stream as evidence to prove what he said. She didn't appear too fazed by his "b*tches" comments, but she questioned whether "Ninja would have said [it] if it was a large male streamer who was raided." Along with this, she appeared baffled by the fact that Ninja would seemingly appear to want to help the streamer who harassed her. At one point, Pokimane asked: "Why Ninja would help someone evade a ban for harassing me? I have no idea, I genuinely don’t know."

The drama then took a whole other level when, on January 18, Pokimane shared on Twitter a screenshot of a DM between her and Ninja's wife and manager, Jessica Blevins. In the message, Blevins explained that a "legal team" had been brought in because Pokimane was "spewing lies to tens of thousands of people". She also stressed how, despite claiming to in the stream, Ninja never reached out to a representative from Twitch.

Pokimane further stipulated that Blevins was claiming Ninja "pretended" to text his representative, which Pokimane was "willing to accept and cannot disprove". We may only be a few weeks into 2022, but it has been one whirlwind of a year for Pokimane already, what with her being banned from Twitch for the first time ever, and being hit with a wave of "misogynistic" abuse following the DMCA dispute. With even more drama going down day-by-day, it looks like things won't be easing up for her any time soon.
