Imane "Pokimane" Anys won the internet after sharing an old selfie of herself without makeup. However, Daniel "Keemstar" Keem didn't wait long before raining on her parade.

In January 2022, Pokimane's stream was brought to an abrupt end after she was made the target of a "hate raid" by YouTuber "JiDion", who was subsequently banned from Twitch. However, JiDion's two-week ban was then upgraded to permanent after he, along with some trolls, continued to harass Pokimane on social media. At one point, JiDion even changed his own profile picture to a picture of Pokimane wearing no makeup, much to the anger of her fans.

However, the pair appear to have made up for now, much to everyone's surprise. Yet, Pokimane is still having to wade through the trolls who continue to harass her online, particularly over her fresh-faced photo. As Pokimane made a power move in reposting the picture on Twitter, one YouTuber took his chance to put a negative spin on the post.

How Did Fans React To Pokimane's Makeup-Free Selfie?

On February 15, Pokimane shared a fresh-faced selfie of herself and, in doing so, gave the middle finger to her haters who trolled her makeup-free snapshot from one of her streams back in 2018. Throwing shade at her trolls, Pokimane captioned the image with "this face makes more money than you’ll ever see in your life."

Pokimane's fans saw the tweet as a real power move with many showering the Twitch streamer with support. For example, one dedicated fan responded: "You are such a strong lady! every woman should look up to you & don't you ever listen to those haters!" Some of Pokimane's famous friends also shared the love, including her YouTubing pal Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter who said: "You're so hot for this."

However, while most people applauded Pokimane for the picture, others weren't best pleased with the caption as it appeared as though she was "flexing" her wealth. For instance, one Twitter user stated: "People are horrible for judging someone's looks, but is it any better for you to resort to throwing out 'I'm richer than you?'"

What Did Keemstar Say About Pokimane's Makeup-Free Selfie?

As Pokimane's selfie swept the internet, it wasn't long before it caught the attention of American streamer and YouTuber, Keemstar. The 39-year-old then retweeted the image with the caption "2/10." A comment many considered negative about her looks.

Fans were quick to call out Keemstar's comment with one Twitter user saying "imagine being almost 40 rating a girls looks without make up on the internet cause she hurt your feelings [sic]." Whereas, another clapped back: "A 2/10 coming from YOU?"

As of writing, Pokimane hasn't responded to Keemstar's comments, but her followers are making sure to do the job for her. While reclaiming makeup-free selfies may have seemed like a power move by her followers, many still believe that she could have chosen her words better when writing the caption.
