Many of the player ratings for EA Sports FC have been leaked in recent weeks, from the top-rated players to even Messi and Ronaldo's in-game valuation

As one of the biggest clubs in the world, it is no surprise that the ratings reveal for Manchester United was hotly anticipated, but the reception from fans hasn't exactly been the most accepting.

Not only did we get a list of the overall ratings for most of the squad, but many of the individual face stats too - which determine things like pace, shooting, passing, and more. This leads to even more contention, as some of the downgrades could be considered quite harsh.

Big upgrades for key Man Utd players

As revealed by leaker Fut Scoreboard, the EA Sports FC 24 ratings for Manchester United are quite the mixed bag, with quite a few upgrades but a number of notable downgrades that fans aren't the happiest with.

After a relatively successful first season for Erik ten Hag's team that saw them return to the Champions League and claim their first trophy since 2017, some supporters might think that the ratings don't quite reflect the overall success of the squad's previous 12 months.

Defensive midfielder Casemiro holds the highest rating in the team after Cristiano Ronaldo's well-reported departure in January, retaining his 89-rated card with both upgrades and downgrades across his face stats.

Big upgrades were also received by new captain Bruno Fernandes and star player Marcus Rashford, boosting them up to 88 and 85, respectively. The same was true for new goalkeeper André Onana and stalwart defender Lisandro Martínez, as they both were bumped up after impressive performances.

EASFC fans dismiss disappointing Man United ratings

The rest of the squad is quite a different story, however, with a few severe downgrades that some supporters have voiced their concern with. As one fan simply said, "They’ll never stop disrespecting my club."

Winger Jadon Sancho has received perhaps the most attention - especially after his public falling out with manager Ten Hag, with one commenter stating that "Bruno [Fernandes] should be higher and I have no idea how Sancho is 82."

It seems like the two-point downgrade wasn't quite enough, especially when compared to similar squad players. "Sancho should be lower" was remarked by another user, so it seems rather unanimous that the former Borussia Dortmund star isn't thought of quite as fondly as EA.

Fans also seem to be quite confused with Mason Mount's downgrade to an 81-rated card, with one reply stating that "even as a Chelsea fan he didn't deserve that." We can all probably agree that Mount didn't have the best 22/23 season, but a drop of three ratings does seem quite harsh.
