All you one-trick ponies who can't resist flinging the ball out wide to Vinicius Jr. or Caroline Graham Hansen, dribbling down the wing and cutting it back for Eusebio, well, you're about to become quite redundant going into next year.

It is a meta that FC 24 players are all too familiar with, as certain Playstyle+ attributes are repeatedly used and abused until they finally work, thanks to the almighty gods.

But as of FC 25, you're going to have to mix it up, as EA FC is overhauling the AI to become "more intelligent" and combat repetitive movements.

EA FC set for AI overhaul for 2025

According to Sports Gamers Online, FC 24 is getting an AI overhaul, which will see them act more intelligently in game modes like Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs. The latter of which will be the main focus of tuning given the habits and meta-playstyles that can easily break the game.

Reports suggest that these improvements will target the way that the AI reacts to in-game actions. The AI will remember specific styles throughout the game and close in to help stop that repetition.

It will also reportedly make in-game tactical adjustments, which, when combined with your pre-determined settings, will help close any exploited gaps, forcing you and your opponent to try new methods of scoring.

While many players will be hoping for some better gameplay on Ultimate Team, given the rather OP Playstyle+ metas, it does seem like most of the power will be directed towards Pro Clubs.

Clubs is the more flamboyant of the game modes, but there are still multiple ways of cheesing the AI, such as long balls over the top, which help when you have five-foot-four whippet wingers against big, slow, trudging fullbacks.

FC 25 is likely to see many more changes in the coming weeks, all as EA continues its new era of the fan-favourite football simulator.
