EA FC 24 reportedly silently nerfs Neymar Jr
Poor old Neymar isn't having a good time, both on the football pitch in real life and in EA FC 24.
The famed Brazillian winger moved to Saudi Arabia early this year to start a new season under the Al Hilal banner, but after just a handful of games, the twinkle-toed 31-year-old was ruled out with a career-threatening ACL injury.
And, to add insult to injury while all he can do is sit on the couch and play games, EA FC 24 has reportedly silently nerfed his card in Ultimate Team.
Neymar gets silent shooting nerf in EA FC
Neymar is quite the avid gamer, and will no doubt try and tear himself away from Counter-Strike by getting on EA FC 24 at some point in his sideline spell.
According to fans on Reddit, EA FC 24 has reduced Neymar's shooting rating down from 83 to 82, without specifying in the Pitch Notes or on social media.
After it was pointed out on Reddit, fans quickly did some background checks and it appears the nerf is true.
"Yeah you're right, I just checked mine. 82 Shooting WTF. Futbin still shows 83," said one fan in the comments.
It's an insignificant change in reality, but given his status in the game and a handful of Saudi League players getting special cards to link to Neymar, it comes as a strange change for EA to implement.
EA FC nerfs Neymar Jr into the ground
Although this small nerf to Neymar might not affect him too much, it's not the only defect that his card has been given this week.
Over the weekend, the winger was also stripped of his trademark Trickster+ as EA was forced to remove the PlayStyle due to an exploit that was running wild in the Champs Weekend League.
Interestingly though, Neymar is at the dearest price on the Ultimate Team market in three weeks, coming in at 308,000 coins - this is Neymar's best value since his October 6 collapse from 317,000 to 278,000 overnight.
It looks like the winger is still good enough to walk the ball into the net. I guess you can't shoot well with a ruptured ACL anyway...
