Career Mode has come a long way since you used to use the XP-based bonuses like Scout Future Star or Financial Takeover to make yourself an absolutely dynamite team, stomping everyone on your way to making Accrington Stanley win the Champions League.

Nowadays it's much closer to the first iterations of Football Manager, where you assume the role of Head Coach and implement training regimes, scouting systems, and even turn negotiator in transfer deals.

But with EA FC 24, one game-breaking glitch is already making sure you don't become the next Jose Mourinho, as Career Mode is crashing due to one feature.

This year in EA FC 24, you gain more control over hirings and firings than ever before, as the staff you have under your wing are surmounting.

However, if you're looking at building out your backroom, be careful, as a glitch is completely crashing the game mode, with you losing all unsaved progress.

Fans have figured out that if you want to release a coach from their contract, this forces the game to shut down, and if you're not an auto-saver and haven't backed up your seasonal progression, then you're in for quite the setback.

Can you avoid the EA FC 24 Career Mode bug?

Unfortunately, it seems like the only way of getting around this glitch, currently, is to keep your coaches and backroom staff.

This does mean you might be stuck with a know-it-all wasteman collecting bottles rather than pulling the strings in training, but at least you won't need to restart all of your transfer scouting and other behind-the-scenes efforts.

Instead, maybe just be careful with who you hire, as if you're getting someone in for the short-term, it might not be worth it.

EA will likely have a fix for those coming at some point, but with such a busy launch, who knows when this will come into play?
