Herschel "Dr DisRespect" Beahm IV has called out YouTube Gaming for apparently failing to give him the recognition he rightly deserves.

Back in March 2020, Dr Disrespect was living the high life having just signed a lucrative multi-year deal with Twitch having been on the platform for nine years. However, it all came tumbling down when the Doc suddenly received a permanent ban from the Amazon-owned platform, sparking a lengthy legal debate. So, the Two-Time turned his attention to YouTube and the rest is history.

However, despite his increasing success on the platform, Dr Disrespect has called out YouTube Gaming for failing to provide him with the recognition he deserves, claiming that he put the Google-owned platform "on the map".

What Did Dr Disrespect Say About YouTube Gaming?

With 3.81 million subscribers on YouTube as of writing, it's fair to say that Dr Disrespect is one of the most popular gaming content creators on the channel, in large part thanks to his bombastic Warzone and Fortnite streams. However, the streamer claims that when it comes to showing its appreciation for helping to grow its platform, YouTube Gaming has been fairly lacking.

In a tweet posted on March 17, Dr Disrespect stated: "When you put YouTube Gaming streaming on the map yet they don't even follow you, tweet about you, mention you etc…I mean, seriously just stop and think about it for a second. We really are on another level baby."

Has YouTube Gaming Responded To Dr Disrespect's Comments?

YouTube hasn't responded to Dr Disrespect's scathing comments, as of writing. However, fans were quick to show their support on Twitter. Many joined the Doc in calling on YouTube Gaming to show some appreciation his way. One fan, referring to Dr Disrespect and Twitch finally settling their legal issues, said: "Lawsuit is over YouTube Gaming, do yourself a favour and sign this man." Another, who pointed out the streamer co-founded his own AAA game studio, responded: "Well sh*t Doc maybe we need to create our own streaming platform next since you're already showing the world how it's done..."

It's not entirely clear as to how exactly Dr Disrespect's presence on YouTube Gaming has helped the platform grow in terms of statistics. However, there's no denying that Dr Disrespect is one of the most popular streamers on the Twitch rival, maybe it is time for Google to open that huge chequebook.
