It's official. After nearly two years of drama, Dr Disrespect and Twitch have finally reached an agreement, bringing their heated lawsuit to a close at last.

Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV (aka Dr Disrespect) is one of the most instantly recognisable faces in the streaming community, with his iconic mullet and moustache combo as well as his epic Warzone sessions. Things all seemed to be going wonderfully for the content creator after he signed a multi-year contract extension deal with Twitch in March 2020. Then suddenly, without any explanation as to why, Dr Disrespect received a permanent ban from the streaming platform. While fans were astonished, the Doc was livid.

Following on from the ban, Dr Disrespect took many swipes at Twitch which eventually led to him suing the Amazon-owned platform. The drama has gone back and forth over the past couple of years. However, it now seems as though the dispute is all over as Dr Disrespect has officially resolved his lawsuit with Twitch.

Dr Disrespect And Twitch Settle Lawsuit

On March 10, Dr Disrespect announced via Twitter that he had officially settled his lawsuit with Twitch and that he was "moving on" from the drama. In the tweet, the Doc shared a screenshot of a note which said: "I have resolved my legal dispute with Twitch. No party admits to any wrongdoing." He even included his signature at the bottom of the note to make it all the more conclusive.

The news was met with delight among the streaming giant's fans, given how this dispute has been going on for the best part of two years. The tweet, which has over 111k likes as of writing, quickly went viral as the community flocked to show their support. Some of the Doc's fellow streamers, including Matthew "Mizkif" Rinaudo, Rebecca "Minx", and his pal Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar sent their congratulations.

However, no one could be more relieved about the update than Dr Disrespect. The Doc has been open about the stress that the ban caused. So much so, that he admitted the whole drama had given him anxiety

Will Dr Disrespect Be Returning To Twitch?

Although Dr Disrespect and Twitch have appeared to settle their differences, it looks like he'll be sticking with YouTube for now. As the streamer's tweet was flooded with questions from fans asking whether he will be returning to Twitch, however the two-timer gave short shirt to such ideas, saying: "In response to all your questions, the Doc will not return to Twitch." Then again, with an overwhelming 3.79 million subs on YouTube, it's certainly not a surprise.

With the Doc and Twitch keeping schtum about the drama, we may never know exactly why Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch. However, the YouTuber hasn't let that get in the way of his career, since his debut, he quickly became one of the most popular streamers on the platform. As the Dr Disprespect vs Twitch chapter comes to a close, the Doc can now truly look to move on from the past.
