Diablo 4 is finally in full swing, and after some teething problems with servers and connection issues, Blizzard Entertainment's fiery favourite is prepared to welcome a new swathe of players over the Black Lake.

The game's opening for pre-orderers served as another stress test, and it seems to have worked, as the Diablo 4 servers have levelled out - ready to handle whatever players throw at it. Although those same players, in spite of the inherent quality that game boasts, have some complaints.

Already, as players tear through the game before them, they're discovering that there needs to be more added to Diablo 4 - namely, gem pouches.

Gems are an incredibly useful resource by the time players turn level 25, as they can be embedded into weapons and gear to give them buffs. These special buffs can be literal lifesavers in the game, but players have to collect them first. The issue isn't with finding them, it's with holding them.

As exemplified by a new post in the Diablo subreddit, fans are already sick of their inventories being jam-packed with useful, though inexpensive, gems that they need to carry all the way back to their nearest waypoint after exploring a dungeon.

"Agreed," adds one Reddit user in the comments of the post, calling for a new inventory option for gems. "Wouldn't be so bad if gems didn't take up so much room in the tiny inventory space we're given. They have a stash for consumables why can't there be one for gems…"

"It's such an insane oversight that I feel like it almost has to be intentional," says another. "I don't know WHY they'd do it purposefully, but there's a quest items tab that is literally empty all the time, and yet they don't have one for gems. Makes absolutely zero sense and so far might be my only complaint."

Considering Diablo 4 has come out of the gate boiling hot, it seems like a strange oversight for sure, but we'll just have to wait to see if it's intentional or not. Either way, some extra inventory space from Blizzard would be nice.
