Whatever happened to that Pokemon Legends: Arceus DLC? The good news is, at least it looks like a Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC is coming to expand our first journey to Gen X and the Paldea Region - just beware of what you believe.

Reports of a Scarlet & Violet DLC are nothing new, and only recently, we wrote about the possibility of a Paradox Suicune and Paradox Virizion making their debut. There's a new batch of rumours doing the rounds, but chances are, they could be an elaborate fake.

What Are The Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC Leaks?

Considering the leak originated on 4Chan, alarm bells should already be ringing. Still, let's look at what's in the leak. Apparently, the DLC is called "Magenta Mirage" and will be bigger than Sword & Shield's two DLCs.

If you believe the above, a second crater will appear on the map and introduce a new legendary that's called Maimyu - with this Water-Dragon type having the ability to counter Koraidon and Miraidon.

Apparently, this crater will appear in the top corner of the map and is the focus of two tribes (past and future). Some people and Pokemon have been trapped there inside Tera crystals for centuries.

Finally, there are paradox forms for Suicune, Virizion, Delphox, Chesnaught, and Greninja, with Kilowattrel, and Glimmora, with Chimecho and Galvantula getting new evolutions. It's all pretty standard stuff that isn't too out of the ordinary, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Going against the leaks, remember that the Pokemon games have a hard character limit of 12 and the leaks go beyond that if you believe Kilowattreel will become hunder Storm (which just sounds silly). Also, trusted leaker Riddler Khu previously said the colour theme of the DLC would be amber.

When Will We Know More About The Scarlet & Violet DLC?

We weren't alone in thinking this is all a bunch of nonsense made for the clout. Responding on Reddit, one sceptic wrote, "No massive curveballs in terms of game mechanics, named NPCs, or new forms for Pokemon that would legitimize most leaks."

When someone pointed to the release date being November, another added, "If the first DLC isn't out by May I'll travel to Iberia myself and eat paella." Remember, Sword & Shield's first expansion dropped in the June following a November release.

Someone else concluded "It's totally fake, but I'm loving how we're getting back into leaking season with DLC speculation. Keep it up, 4chan! It's the only thing you’re moderately good for!" We've heard about a potential trip to X & Y's Kalos, but nothing has been set in stone.

There's no official word on when we'll know more about the Scarlet & Violet DLC, but expect to find out more soon. It's no secret that Scarlet & Violet were pretty shaky to start with, and if we were Game Freak, we'd be trying to redeem Gen X as soon as possible.
