Is XDefiant crossplay?
Yes, XDefiant is a crossplay game across its PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms. No matter which systems you and your friends are on, you'll be able to engage in fast-paced multiplayer matches together.
However, XDefiant also gives you the option to disable crossplay if you want matchmaking to only include players on the same platform as you. Here's how you can disable crossplay on each platform:
How disable XDefiant crossplay on PS5 & PC
- In the main menu, go to "Settings"
- Select the "Matchmaking & Account" tab
- On "Crossplay", change the setting to "Off".
How to disable crossplay on Xbox
Turning off XDefiant crossplay is a little more complicated on Xbox since you need to adjust the console's settings instead, but it's easy enough when you know how:
- Press the Xbox button on your controller
- Select "Profile & system", "Settings" & "Account"
- Choose "Privacy & online saftety" and "Xbox privacy"
- Go into "View details & customise" & "Communication & multiplayer"
- Select the drop-down box under "You can coin cross-network play"
- Choose the "Block" option
Does XDefiant have cross-progression?
