Alongside the announcement, Riot Forge released a teaser trailer showing off snippets of each of the three games launching this year. This includes The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story in Spring, CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story in Summer, and Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story this Autumn.

In this trailer, we can see hints of what The Mageseeker's gameplay will be like, and it seems similar to the developer's previous title, Moonlighter. The game is indeed 2D with a retro pixel art look, and appears to have you play as Sylas fighting a variety of enemies with his chains and magical abilities.

Then in the official gameplay trailer, we got a proper look at the action. In it, we see Sylas fighting enemies throughout Demacia, using his chains and his magical abilities. With his chains, Sylas can dash around and cross gaps, as movement seems to also play a crucial role in the game's combat.

With League of Legends being primarily a PC game, you would be forgiven for assuming that further games may also stay on that platform. However, the mission statement of these projects is to bring the League universe to new players and new platforms.

With that in mind, The Mageseeker will be launching on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, and Nintendo Switch.

That is it for The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story. We will have more details on the game as they come, in the meantime, you should check out all the info on the upcoming League of Legends MMO.
