Litten is the latest star of the weekly Spotlight Hour - letting you encounter more of the Fire Cat Pokemon from 6PM to 7PM local time on Tuesday, 21 March 2023. However, can Litten be shiny in Pokemon GO? Let's get into the answer within this shiny Litten Pokemon GO guide.

Unfortunately, no, Litten cannot be shiny in Pokemon GO. At least, not yet, anyway. Most new additions to Pokemon GO don't include their shiny versions right away, being added at a later time during big events like a featured Pokemon's Community Days.

Although, even if shiny Litten was available in Pokemon GO, the Spotlight Hour wouldn't increase your likelihood of encountering the Fire Cat variant. That's because whilst Spotlight Hours increases your encounter rate of the featured Pokemon, the standard shiny encounter rate of 1-in-500 would remain the same.

So, if you really want a shiny Litten in Pokemon GO, be sure to look out for a Litten Community Day. Not only would this feature the debut of the shiny Version, but the odds of a shiny encounter would be greatly increased as well.

On the other hand, every Litten catch during its featured Spotlight Hour will still reward you with a 2 x Catch Stardust bonus.

In the meantime, you can check out the comprehensive list put together by Leek Duck containing all shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO so far.
