Larvitar Community Day Pokemon GO: When Is It?
We've only just started the year, but Pokemon GO's second Community Day of 2023 is nearly here. Coming this month, trainers will once again get the chance to catch both more, and a Shiny version, of Larvitar - the Gen-2 Rock and Ground-type Pokemon that evolves into the pseudo-legendary Tyranitar. Let's get into exactly when is the Pokemon GO Larvitar Community Day.
Larvitar Community Day Pokemon GO: When Is It?
Click to enlargeIn Pokemon GO, the next Larvitar Community Day is on Saturday, 21 January, 2023 from 2PM to 5PM local time. Like those of the past, the Larvitar Community Day will allow you to catch more of this Pokemon in the wild along with the chance to encoutner a Shiny version!
In addition, the Larvitar Community Day will also grant the following event bonuses throughout:
- 3 x XP for catching Pokemon
- Lure Modules will last for three hours
- Incenses will last for three hours, except for the Daily Adventure Incense
- Taking snapshots will have a currently unknown reward, referred to as "a surprise!
What's more, if you evolve a Larvitar to a Pupitar and then Tyranitar during or up to two afters after the event ends, 7PM on 21 January, your new Tyranitar will exclusively know the Fast Attack, Smack Down.
Like the Quality Quills in the Chespin Community Day, the Larvitar Community Day will also have optional Special Research story content. Currently listed on the Pokemon GO Live blog post - with its specific name yet to be revealed - you'll be able to pay $1.00, or the equivalent in your local currency, for a ticket that unlocks extra story content for even more rewards.
Closer to the Larvitar Community Day on the 21 January, the ticket should become available to purchase at the in-game shop.
