The Spotlight Hour is a weekly event where Pokemon GO players can catch more of a starring Pokemon - with potential hopes for a Shiny version as well. The fifth-gen zebra-like Electrified Pokemon, Blitzle, is no different. Let's get into the event times and your chances to get a Shiny in this Shiny Blitzle Pokemon GO guide.

Yes, you can get Shiny Blitzle in Pokemon GO. So, catching a Shiny Blitzle during its Spotlight Hour on Tuesday, 31 January from 6PM to 7PM local time is possible.

However, what should be noted though is that, unlike Community Days, Spotlight Hours don't increase the odds of its featured Pokemon being a Shiny. This means that the only additional likelihood of getting a Shiny Blitzle Pokemon GO encounter is through luck in the increased spawns at a standard encounter rate.

In addition, each Spotlight Hour comes with a particular bonus around catching more of the starring Pokemon. In Blitzle's case, you'll get double the Candy for transferring the Pokemon during the Spotlight Hour. If you're interested in farming Blitzle Candy to evolve and power up yourself a Zebstrika, this is a great opportunity.

For what other Shinies you can find in Pokemon GO, you can take a look at the full list of Shiny Pokemon provided by LeekDuck.

That's all you need to know in this Shiny Blitzle Pokemon GO guide for the Spotlight Hour. For else what's new in the game, take a look at our Primal Reversion explanation guide. Alternatively, here is how you can get a Shiny Jirachi.
