The chance to add Treecko, Grovyle, and Sceptile to your Pokemon Scarlet & Violet collection is one of the most exciting parts of the Indigo Disk DLC; though you'll need to know where to find it first, and this guide can help with that.

Even if you've never played the original Hoenn-based Ruby & Sapphire games or its remakes, the Wood-Gecko Pokemon is a must-have. So, let's get into Treecko's Indigo Disk location.

How to get Treecko in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To catch Treecko, you'll be able to find one in the Canyon Biome in Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC; but first, you'll need to donate 3000 BP in the biome's respective Terarium Club quest to "boost biodiversity" on the Support Board.

This can be found on the PC in the League Club Room.

Completing these quests is essential if you want to unlock all the starter Pokemon in each of The Indigo Disk's biome's, including Torchic and Mudkip

How to get more BP

If you're short of the necessary 3000 BP to unlock Treecko, you can get more by completing Blueberry Quests - or BBQs as they're called - which you can access by pressing right on the D-pad.

Getting this much BP will be a grind though, so be prepared to invest a good bit of time. We've got a BP farming guide to make the process a little quicker.

Once you've completed the quest, Treecko will be available in the mid-bottom of the Canyon Biome as shown above. Unlike other starters in the DLC, I found Treecko to be quite a rare spawn - so you'll also need to be prepared to wander for a fair bit.

How to evolve Treecko into Grovyle

To get your Treecko to evolve into Groyvle, you just need to have it reach Level 16. Once it's levelled up enough, the evolution will trigger right away.

But if your Treecko is already at Level 16 and above, it will still evolve the next time it levels up with no issues. If you'd like to speed things up without needing to grind for experience points, you can use a Rare Candy or Exp. Candies.

How to evolve Grovyle into Sceptile

Once you've got your Grovyle, it will then evolve into Sceptile after you get it to Level 36 with there thankfully being no special evolution items or other conditions required.

Like with the first stage, you don't need to worry if your Grovyle is already at Level 36 and above. It will still evolve as normal the next time it levels up.

That's everything you need to know about Treecko in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. If it's more starters in the game you're after, check out where to find Squirtle or where to find Charmander in The Indigo Disk
