Pokemon GO Plus + pre order: Where to buy

An unexpected second version of the 2016 Pokemon GO Plus device, the Pokemon GO Plus + is to not only serve as companion hardware to its namesake mobile game but the upcoming Pokemon Sleep as well. With a planned summer 2023 launch, let’s get into where Pokemon fans can place a Pokemon GO Plus + pre order.

Although currently sold out at the Nintendo store, you can place a Pokemon GO Plus + pre order at Best Buy or GameStop for $54.99. The device is currently scheduled for a 21 July 2023 release date. 

Utilising low-energy Bluetooth technology, the Pokemon GO Plus + is designed to make playing Pokemon GO and Pokemon Sleep even easier. 

Using with Pokemon Sleep

When paired with the Pokemon Sleep app, the Pokemon GO Plus + enables you to start and stop measuring your sleep data with just a push of a button. What’s more, the Pikachu that’s apparently stored in the Pokeball-shaped hardware will also provide you with lullabies and alarm noises - to end and start your days with an adorable touch.

As with the original Pokemon GO Plus device when playing Pokemon GO, the Plus + allows you to automatically catch Pokemon and spin Pokestops whilst you’re out and about. Along with getting to throw Great Balls and Ultra Balls as well, connecting your Pokemon GO Plus + with Pokemon GO unlocks Special Research to let you catch a Snorlax wearing a nightcap.
