Whether you've just evolved your first Incineroar in Pokemon GO or you've got a bunch of them in the bag already, you'll probably want to know what its best moveset is.

With Litten getting its own Community Day on March 16, 2024, its final evolution Incineroar has been granted two new Charged Moves: Blast Burn and Darkest Lariat! But are they any good? And what Fast Move should you pair them with? Let's take a look.

Best moveset for Incineroar

The best moveset you can teach Incineroar in Pokemon GO is Snarl as a Fast Move combined with Darkest Lariat and Blast Burn as Charged Moves.

Snarl and Fire Fang are both decent Fast Moves, but Snarl prioritises energy generation which will give you better access to Incineroar's two new (and fairly expensive) Charged Moves: Darkest Lariat and Blast Burn.

Darkest Lariat is an improvement over Dark Pulse, offering a whopping 120 Power in Trainer Battles. With this and Snarl, you've got yourself a STAB duo capable of dishing out some impressive Dark-type damage - so it's definitely worth forking out on a secondary Charged Move to get it.

You'll also want Blast Burn in Incineroar's moveset. This is an excellent Charged Move that I would always recommend running on Fire-type Pokemon, as it offers 110 Power for just 50 Energy. If you miss out on the Litten Community Day, it's worth using an Elite Charged TM to get this move.

All moves Incineroar can learn

Incineroar can learn three Fast Moves and five Charged Moves which you can see below:

Fast Moves

  • Double Kick (Fighting)
  • Fire Fang (Fire)
  • Snarl (Dark)

Charged Moves

  • Blast Burn (Fire)
  • Blaze Kick (Fire)
  • Dark Pulse (Dark)
  • Darkest Lariat (Dark)
  • Fire Blast (Fire)
  • Flame Charge (Fire)

All of these moves can be learned by using a Fast TM or a Charged TM, except for Blast Burn which requires an Elite Charged TM or a Community Day event to learn.

Is Incineroar good in Pokemon GO?

Although access to the moves Darkest Lariat and Blast Burn has definitely improved Incineroar's ranking in the Pokemon GO Battle League, it's not enough to make it a standout Pokemon in any of the three big leagues.

A quick look at PvPoke shows us that Incineroar with its optimal moveset places 295th in the Great League, 135th in the Ultra League, and 138th in the Master League. Your mileage may vary in actual play, of course, but it's not looking great.

When it comes to Raid Battles, Darkest Lariat and Blast Burn give Incineroar decent potential as either a Dark-type attacker or a Fire-type attacker. There are better options out there, but it's still a great choice if you're lacking in either of these categories.
