Pokemon Go's February 2024 Community Day event features the loveable Chansey, so you'll need to know the schedule, dates, and bonuses to keep track of what's happening.

Community Days are the best events in Pokemon GO, giving you a chance to catch a specific Pokemon with boosted Shiny rates and a featured attack for its final evolution. Here's everything that happened during February's event, as well as a list of all the previous headliners.

Upcoming Pokemon GO Community Day dates

The following Community Day dates have just been confirmed for the upcoming season:

  • Saturday, March 16, 2024
  • Saturday, April 20, 2024
  • Sunday, May 19, 2024

There will also be a Community Day Classic taking place on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

None of the headliners have been confirmed yet, but it seems likely that Litten will be one of them. Following Rowlet's event in January, it makes sense for the next Alola starter to get a Community Day soon after.

Pokemon GO February 2024 Community Day date & time

The Chansey Community Day event took place on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 2PM to 5PM local time.

During that three-hour window, Chansey appeared more frequently in the wild and Happiny hatched from 2km Eggs obtained from PokeStops. Both of these Pokemon had an increased chance of being Shiny.

Once the main event ended, Trainers could take part in local 4-star Raid Battles featuring Chansey from 5PM to 10PM. If they won a Raid Battle, Chansey would spawn around the Gym for the next 30 minutes.

February 2024 Community Day featured attack

If you evolved a Chansey between 2PM and 10PM, you'd get a Blissey that knows the featured attack Wild Charge. This is an Electric-type Charged Move that has 100 power but decreases the user's Defense stat.

February 2024 Community Day bonuses

The following bonuses were available from 2PM to 5PM:

  • Double Candy for catching Pokemon
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon
  • 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event
  • Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours

The following bonuses were available from 2PM to 10PM:

  • One additional Special Trade can be made
  • Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust

There were also event-exclusive Field Research tasks and a paid-for Special Research quest available to complete during the event for extra rewards.

If you're wondering why there are no Community Days listed for the December months, that's because every December features the return of the previous year's headliners (and sometimes the prior year's too!).

While this is a great time to catch up on any headliners you've missed throughout the year, it does mean there's nothing 'new' to encounter in terms of Shinies or featured attacks.
