The MW2 Path of the Ronin event is one of the key features of the new and exciting Season 2, but it can be a bit confusing to get your head around the whole thing. MW2 Path Of The Ronin Event Start Date
Click to enlargeThe MW2 Path of the Ronin event is due to commence alongside the release of Season 2, meaning that you will be able to jump into all of the challenges on February 15, 2023.
It has not yet been announced how long the event will last, but it will most certainly only be for a limited period, so you will want to prioritise getting it done to claim all of the rewards. We will be able to know as soon as the event goes live, though, as there will be a timer attached.

MW2 Path Of The Ronin Event Challenges

From a perspective of speculation though, these challenges are likely to involve various in-game tasks, and may stretch across the three main MW2 game modes too. We have already seen Infinity Ward nudge people towards DMZ to get new weapons, so it wouldn't be surprising to see them include it and Warzone 2 in the event challenges alongside the standard multiplayer.

MW2 Path Of The Ronin Event Rewards
Click to enlargeThe main reward that you will be gunning for when doing the MW2 Path of the Ronin event is the Crossbow, which has been confirmed as one of the new MW2 Season 2 weapons. However, that is the final reward for completing the whole set, so there is going to be an additional selection of gifts to tempt you along the way.
There are seven challenges that you will need to complete in total, with each one themed around one of the Seven Virtues of Bushido: Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Sincerity, and Loyalty.
While the individual rewards might not be the most enticing, with Infinity Ward hinting towards things like weapon charms and gun screens, the final gift of the Crossbow should be well worth the effort.
