Learning how to get inside of Building 21 in MW2 DMZ and what can kind of things you can expect inside is key for players looking to locate some of the best loot in the game.

The entire MW2 DMZ mode is built on the idea of risk vs reward, with Building 21 showcasing that perfectly as one of the toughest areas in the game. However, as an extraction shooter, you will sometimes need to scour some areas like this to earn the most powerful loot and sustain your future excursions.

So, check out our breakdown of MW2 DMZ Building 21, and what you can find inside.

Building 21 is a location that MW2 DMZ players can deploy to, and Building 21 is entirely separate from Al Mazrah.

Building 21 is shrouded in mystery, too, as not much is known regarding this clandestine biological laboratory - except that not many who enter will make it out alive.

When deploying into the DMZ, you will have the choice between Al Mazrah or Building 21. However, you won't be able to enter Building 21 without a Building 21 Access Card.

You can find Building 21 Access Cards randomly in Orange Supply Boxes and Supply Drops around Al Mazrah. You can also get a Building 21 Access Card by killing a Commander in MW2 DMZ. In addition to the Building 21 Access Card, there are Red and Blue Access Cards that grant entry into locked rooms in Building 21 that hold high-tier Contraband.

Don't bring anything you don't want to lose into Building 21, because this compact area is swarming with heavily-armed AQ Soldiers, plus competing Operators. But with risk comes reward, as Al Mazrah can't hold a candle to the goodies hidden within Building 21.

The Building 21 Access Card and the Red and Blue Access Card aren't the only Keys tied to Building 21. There's a Black Access Card too, but the only way to get it is to defeat Veliken, a Boss that resides in Building 21.

As for the loot, Building 21 is loaded to the brim with high-end Contraband to plunder. Included amongst the abundance of Three-Plate Armour Vests, Self-Revives, and Killstreaks are Weapon Cases. Every time you exfil from Building 21 with a Weapon Case, you will net one of the following rewards:

  • Going Bark Weapon Charm
  • Weapon Rover Calling Card
  • Roar Weapon Sticker
  • Company Sniper Emblem
  • Camo Cloud Vehicle Skin
  • Silver Tox Chimera Blueprint

And who knows, there may be more secrets still undiscovered!

With that, you should be ready to take on the challenges that await in Building 21. Gather a couple of trusted comrades and prepare a Loadout for this dangerous DMZ locale.
