Thankfully, as it is a Fortress it is usually marked on the map already so is pretty easy to find as long as you know the general area. You can use the key on any of the multiple entrance points, but do be wary that exiting out of a different door will incur an additional use on the key.
Furthermore, as it is a Fortress the fun isn't over once you get inside, as there will be an abundance of tough AI enemies waiting for you. There will likely be a Riot Shield enemy or two as well, so make sure you're prepped to deal with them.
