Adding to an already packed League of Legends year is the highly-anticipated Star Guardian event and it’s going to be a good one.

First teased via the “Return to Valoran City” trailer, players got a glimpse of what’s next for the team of magical-girl-inspired heroes. New champions will be added into the mix, new missions will be available to grind, and most important of all, there will be tons and tons of rewards.

The Star Guardian skin line is one of the League’s most popular skins. Like others, it has its own lore, one that has its members fight against evil. This event will be the culmination of all of the storylines set up so far.

With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about the League of Legends Star Guardian event 2022.

League of Legends Star Guardian Event Start Date

The League of Legends Star Guardian event is set to begin right after LoL patch 12.13 drops on July 13, 2022. The event will go live a day after on July 14.

Like others in the game and in Season 12 thus far, the Star Guardian event is expected to last around a month. This means that players will have ample amount of time to grind through their missions to collect tons of Star Guardian-themed goodies and cosmetics.

League of Legends Star Guardian Missions

As is the case with every League of Legends event, players will be able to grind through missions.

Uniquely to this event, similar to others who follow an old or already established storyline, players who complete Star Guardian missions will progress through a story. Of course, they will also earn tokens as rewards in the process to purchase their sweet cosmetics.

So far, it’s not confirmed if it’ll follow the basic mission structure or if it’ll implement a visual-novel style similar to 2021’s Sentinels of Light and 2020’s Sprit Blossom events. The specifics of these missions have yet to be confirmed, more information should come as we inch closer to the event’s release.

League of Legends Star Guardian Rewards

Similar to missions, rewards are also fairly streamlined in that with each event players will obtain cosmetics and goodies for their hard-earned work.

Seeing as the League of Legends Star Guardian event is set to be one of, if not the biggest in all of the calendar year, players can expect tons of rewards to earn and collect. As always, these rewards include anything from chromas and summoner icons to wards and more that will be purchasable with the tokens players earn from their missions. The specifics of these rewards have yet to be confirmed, more information should come as we inch closer to the event’s release.

Additionally, Summoners will be able to purchase the newly introduced skins and the old ones added dating back to Star Guardian first being created.

League of Legends Star Guardian Skins

It wouldn’t be a League of Legends event if it didn’t have any skins for players to enjoy now, would it?

Headlining this event will be the six brand-new skins for champions such as Ekko, Kai’Sa, Sona, Fiddlesticks, and the new champion joining the game with the patch, Nilah. All of these champions will be a Star Guardian by rocking one skin each, while Ekko will get a second option with a being a Prestige Edition skin.

Here are all of the skins and their prices.
