Here's how you unlock & complete the Adventurous Moles mission in Honkai: Star Rail
In Honkai: Star Rail, players will be journeying forth and completing a wide variety of quests to build relationships, earn rewards and more. One of these quests is “The Adventurous Moles” and it’s a pretty lengthy one.
Here, we’ll guide you through the Adventurous Moles mission in the game, and everything you need to complete it.
How to unlock the Adventurous Moles mission
First things first, you’re going to have to complete a mission in the run-up to this. To access the Adventurous Moles, you’ll first have to complete the companion mission: Hook’s Treasure.

Completing that will reward you with the Time Capsule item.
Then, you’ll need to make your way to Boulder Town on Jarilo-VI and find Julian.
After speaking with Julian, he will give you a tattered copy of The Adventurous Moles book, and so, the mission begins.

How do you complete the Adventurous Moles mission
Whoever had this book really didn't take care of it very well. For this mission, you’ll be searching for various pages from it that give clues to completing an assortment of puzzles.
The first step to completing this quest is to head to The Overlook in The Great Mine. Following the navigation path will lead you to the first page. It specifies that there is a Miner’s Lamp nearby (it’s sat conveniently on a box). All you need to do is pick up the lamp and hook it to the nearby fence to match the surrounding lamps. You’ll be rewarded with some treasure for this.
Once this is done, make your way back to Julian in Boulder Town and you’ll learn that there are three more pages to find. Below, we’ve detailed where to find the pages and the puzzle solutions that go with them:

| Backwater Pass |
After teleporting, head to the nearby outdoor café, the page is on a bench there. Afterwards, head to the set of seating nearby. There is an upside-down chair that needs turning over. Doing so will reveal the treasure. |
| Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone | The page is located on a wall near the Frontline teleport. Three weapons have fallen from their nearby stands. You simply need to replace them to reveal the treasure. |
| Rivet Town |
The page will be on top of a table close to where you teleport. You'll need to move some crates on a nearby shelf. First, pick up the crate in the middle and move it to the shelf near a set of stairs. On the original shelf, move the top crate to where the first crate originally was. The treasure chest will appear after. |
Once this is complete, head back to Boulder Town to fill Julian in on your treasure-hunting adventure.
To finish the mission, you’ll just need to head to the Central Plaza in the Administrative District and talk to Nika.
