Finding all 24 of the Treasure Hunt locations in GTA Online isn't an easy task, even if you're a seasoned citizen of Los Santos, but it's worth tracking them all down as you'll come away with some valuable rewards.

Grand Theft Auto's online mode has been running for nearly 10 years at this point, and in that time it's seen a massive amount of updates that have added new content and features to the crime sandbox.

While some of these let you grab fast cars and motorbikes, and others let you start heists to get rewards like the Panther Statue, some allow you to just enjoy a good old treasure hunt.

Where are all the Treasure Hunt locations in GTA Online?

First phase Treasure Hunt locations in GTA Online

Final phase location

Once you find all three clues in the second phase, you will get a message that says, "The final location of the Treasure has been revealed. Go there to unlock the chest and collect your reward."

To find it, open your map, and you will find a yellow chest icon. Make your way to it and open the Treasure Box to complete the Treasure Hunt and get a Double Action Revolver and $250,000 Cash.

How to start a Treasure Hunt in GTA Online

You can start the Treasure Hunt activity once you receive an email associated with the Van Der Linde family discussing it, while also sharing the picture of a random location from Los Santos where you will find your first clue.

Thankfully, a yellow circle will appear on the map as soon as you read the email. Make your way to the marked location and use the picture to find the exact location.

Here, you are looking for a piece of paper. You will get an audio queue, a humming and chime sound when you are near it.

Once you find the first Treasure Hunt location in GTA Online, you finally trigger the main part of the Treasure Hunt activity, giving you three new random locations where you must go and find the respective clue.

How to complete a Treasure Hunt

The entire Treasure Hunt activity is divided into three parts:

  • Find the initial clue: There are twenty random locations in this part, and you can get any of them. Once you have a location, you must find the clue in the area that matches the picture you received via email
  • Main Treasure Hunt: Once you get the first clue, you will get three random locations where you must search for clues
  • Treasure Box located: Assuming you found all three clues in the last part, you will get the final location where you will find a Treasure Box with the Double Action Revolver and a $2,500,000 Cash reward
