GTA Online has been going strong for about a decade now, and over time it has grown massively, with new cars, motorbikes, and features like Treasure Hunts and Heists being added to dive into over the years.

All manner of shiny new vehicles have raced their way into the game during that time, providing gamers with stylish rides to show off to other players - and there are a few bikes and cars that are the clear choice if you want to go fast, really fast.

Editor Note:

April 24, 2024: Updated motorbike rankings, added the Pegassi Bati 801RR to our list, and to reflect the Pfister 811 no longer being purchasable.

What is the fastest car in GTA Online?

Currently, the BF Weevil Custom is the fastest car in GTA Online, hitting a top speed of 137.5 miles per hour. Coming in at $980,000 (which is actually not the most expensive fast car that you can find), this car is inspired by the VW Beetle, but it's souped up further using Benny’s Original Motor Works to upgrade it.

You will need to have purchased the standard BF Weevil to get it upgraded there, though, which on its own is $870,000.

Introduced to the game back in 2022, it's been the fastest car in the game since - and won't set you back as much as some of the other cars on our list.

All of the cars above were introduced after the initial launch of GTA Online, and not a single car from the original roster appears on the list of fastest cars.

It's also interesting that despite there being plenty of weaponised vehicles in the game, none feature on the above list, or can even compete with the sheer speed of the sports cars.

The fourth entry, the Pfister 811, despite being incredibly fast, can no longer be purchased in-game. There are other ways of acquiring the Porsche-inspired car though, like winning it in the casino, but acquiring the car is now a lot more challenging than just buying it from a store.

What is the fastest motorbike in GTA Online?

As was the same with cars, the fastest motorbike in GTA 5 Online isn’t a weaponised one, with the Western Reever coming at the top of the list

You'll need to drop a rather hefty $1,900,000 to get it, but what's particularly striking about it is that it's also much faster than any of the cars above, clocking in at 163 miles per hour.

Cars are cool, but bikes are cooler - at least that’s what the majority of films will have you believe. The real advantage of bikes in GTA 5 Online is how small they are, allowing you to weave through traffic and get to your destination quicker by avoiding obstacles.

Unlike the list of fastest cars, here we've got some weaponised vehicles featured for bikes, with the Pegassi Oppressor and Pegassi Oppressor MK II, which can not only glide with wings but also boast a jet, missiles and a machine gun - making you both fast and a flying death machine.
