Where to find Midas' Jail Cell in Fortnite & how to investigate it
Thought to be dead and gone, Fortnite's notorious antagonist, Midas, was actually enchained by Hades. His companion, Marigold, believes he's being kept in a cell somewhere and tasks us with investigating.
Keep reading to learn where to find Midas' Jail Cell and how to investigate it in the free-to-play battle royale from Epic Games.
Where to find Midas' Jail Cell
It's been years since Midas disappeared, but now he's back in Fortnite as Ascendant Midas. This whole time, Marigold's been searching far and wide for Midas, and all signs point toward The Underworld.
As it turns out, Marigold was not chasing a red herring; Midas was alive and was being held hostage by the overseer of The Underworld, Hades. The key word is "held" because by the time we get there, the Golden King is long gone, having broken free from the Chains of Hades.
You'll find the now-abandoned Midas' Jail Cell at The Underworld Point of Interest, directly beneath the chamber where you can summon Hades.
How to investigate Midas' Jail Cell
To complete the quest to investigate Midas' Jail Cell, you must inspect and interact with three alarming clues inside the empty dungeon: the jail door, the reboot card, and the cuffs. You'll find the reboot card in the centre of the room, and the cuffs are attached to the back wall.
It's clear Midas has escaped, so now, you must go and corroborate your findings with Marigold.
The Rise of Midas Quests are only just beginning! Every couple of days, new challenges will be revealed, with the ultimate objective being to help Midas flee the Island.
