Levelling up fast and earning more XP in Fortnite can be incredibly lucrative, especially if you’re trying to work your way through the latest Season's Battle Pass – so we’re here to show you how to do just that.

Although you'll earn XP naturally as you play, there are several methods to help speed up the process in the game to work towards getting those battle stars in order to unlock new tiers of the Battle Pass and V-Bucks to buy a new dance or emote.

Tips for levelling up fast in Fortnite

The steps you'll want to consider to level up fast when jumping into your next match of Fortnite are as follows. Using a combination (or all) of these methods will ensure you're zipping through this season's levels in a flash:

Complete Milestones

Milestones in Fortnite are long-term quests that can net you a great deal of XP and are divided into three categories:

  • Challenge Quests
  • Combat Quests
  • Exploration Quests

These quests can be anything from destroying objects to landing headshots. Completing Milestones can be a bit of a grind, but while you’re doing so, you’ll be earning XP for completing various challenges as you go.

Complete weekly challenges

Completing weekly challenges in Fortnite is a great way to earn a big chunk of XP at once. While daily challenges are smaller tasks that you can complete relatively quickly before they reset, weekly challenges take a bit longer and will require you to grind a little - but the rewards are worth it.

Creative Maps

Some of the best creative maps in Fortnite have the potential to earn a big amount of XP just by playing them and completing objectives within.

While they certainly aren't as lucrative as they used to be back in the day, using creative maps and making use of other game modes besides Battle Royale can give you a bit of verity in your Fortnite XP farming.

Get a Victory Royale

Perhaps the best way to gain XP and level up fast in Fortnite is to win your match and earn a Victory Royale. Fighting your way through 99 other players can be a daunting task, but one that will pay off in the end and will have you earning an enviable amount of XP.

Passive XP tasks

It’s not all about the shooting and challenges that will get you XP in Fortnite, though, as sometimes completing passive tasks can be exactly what you need to reach the next level.

There are loads of them that you can do to grind XP in Fortnite too, including:

  • Eliminating players
  • Fishing
  • Foraging items and weapons
  • Opening chests
  • Surviving a Storm Circle
  • Thanking the bus driver
  • Uncovering parts of the map at the beginning of a new season

While it may not seem like much, these simple objectives can gradually build up your pool of XP and, before you know it, you’ll be seeing your total score rack up at the end of a hard-fought match.

Use Party Assist

Fortnite is always more fun with friends, whether it's online or in split-screen. What's more, though, it can be beneficial too, as the Party Assist feature shares challenge and quest progression between you and your fellow party members.

Ultimately, this means that you’ll be completing them faster and, in turn, earning that sweet XP faster too.

How to get Supercharged XP in Fortnite

You may have noticed that on occasion, your XP is Supercharged in Fortnite. Supercharged XP is a passive mechanic that activates when you don’t regularly complete your daily and weekly challenges.

Supercharged XP essentially acts as a catch-up mechanic if, for example, you haven’t had the chance to play for a little while, or if you’re just starting your time in Fortnite. So, while it lasts, make the most of the XP boost and use the Supercharge as much as possible.

With those all in mind, you'll be well on your way to speedily barrelling your way through the many different levels in the current season of Fortnite.
