To make a Metal Smelter in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll first need to raise your village to level nine so that you can unlock the crafting recipe for it. You’re then going to need the following resources that can be sourced throughout the world, and we have guides to find each of them:

Resource

Amount

Blast Core

3

Brightcore

15

Obsidian Slab

35

While some of the resources themselves are pretty rare, once you have the items above, you’ll be able to craft the Metal Smelter and place it in your thriving village. Both you and your various villagers can use the smelter if you assign them the task of finding resources.

Metal Smelters are utility items that can be used to process ores, like Copper and Brightcore, to get Copper Bars and other rare materials. These materials can then, in turn, be crafted into more powerful Epic tools that have a higher durability.
