Finding the Final Fantasy 16 Muddy Murder hunt location is essential knowledge if you're looking for the Gelatinous Mass crafting material in order to craft the Drakeslayer’s Bracelets in FF16. However, like all hunt locations on the Hunt Board, you will need to find the location yourself.

So, let’s get into exactly where you need to go to find the Muddy Murder hunt location in Final Fantasy 16, letting you locate the elusive Flan Prince and get yourself some Gelatinous Mass in the game.

Where is the Flan Prince?

As shown by the circled mark in the image above, the Final Fantasy 16 Muddy Murder hunt location to find Gelatinous Mass in FF16 is north of the Hawk’s Cry Cliff Obelisk - also west of Amber in Rosaria.

After fast travelling to the Hawk’s Cry Cliff Obelisk, a quick trek on foot or by Chocobo will take you to the location of the Muddy Murder hunt boss, which you will soon find out is none other than the Flan Prince. Once at the site of the Notorious Mark, the boss will appear right out of the ground, and your brawl to obtain the Gelatinous Mass in FF16 can begin.

Even after finding the Muddy Murder hunt location in Final Fantasy 16, the level 38 Flan Prince won’t make it easy to earn your Gelatinous Mass.

After all, it’s earned an A ranking by incorporating AoE (area-of-effect) attacks of various elements; Blizzaga, Stonega, Firaga, Tornado, Thundaga - and varied combinations of those with Dualcast - to catch you off guard when not trying to strike physically.

However, despite its versatility, the Flan Prince’s weakness and key to completing the Muddy Murder hunt lies in its lack of speed. Not only is this boss slow in its attack patterns, but they’re also very easy to anticipate.

So, all you need to do is keep dodging and using windows of opportunity between its moves to chain together your own elemental attacks via Eikon abilities, and the fight should eventually be yours.

Your rewards for completing the Muddy Murder hunt in FF16 are the following:

  • 1 x Gelatinous Mass (needed for crafting the Drakeslayer’s Bracelets)
  • 5200 Exp
  • 95 AP
  • 12,000 Gil
  • 30 Renown

That wraps up everything you need to know about finding the Final Fantasy 16 Muddy Murder location, allowing you to get the highly coveted Gelatinous Mass crafting material in FF16.
