The quest is simple enough; however, you must collect the fragments at certain times of the day. You can find the Sunstone Fragment in the following locations:
- Sunlit Plateau
- Glade of Trust
- Forest of Valor
As Disney Dreamlight Valley operates in real-time you will either have to log onto the game at the specified times to collect the fragments, or you can adjust your PC time via your computer settings.

Glade of Trust Sunstone Fragment

Forest of Valor Sunstone Fragment

How to start 'The Sunstone Fragments' quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Click to enlargeThe Sunstone Fragments is a quest you can receive from Mother Gothel upon reaching friendship level seven with her in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The quest will require you to hunt down the missing fragments and restore the Sunstone into one piece so that Mother Gothel can heal the willow in the Glade of Trust.
To complete the quest, you need to have completed the following prerequisites first:
- Unlock the Sunlit Plateau biome (costs 7,000 Dreamlight).
- Unlock the Glade of Trust biome (costs 5,000 Dreamlight).
- Unlock the Forest of Valor biome (costs 3,000 Dreamlight).
- Recruit Mother Gothel within the Glade of Trust and have at least friendship level seven with her.
- Complete the 'My Kingdom for a Scroll' and 'Shine a Light' Mother Gothel friendship quests beforehand.
- Progress the main story with Merlin further, requiring you to restore the pillars of power in each of the above biomes.
Once you have met the above requirements, simply chat with Mother Gothel to receive the Sunstone Fragments quest.
