Whether you're looking to make Star Coins quickly in Disney Dreamlight Valley or polish off a Dreamlight Duty, knowing which recipes are the cream of the crop to cook up is essential.
So if you're torn over making dishes like Cheesecake or Chocolate Chip Cookies (completely understandable, both are delicious), I've included an explainer of which meals to focus on in the game to save time and make a profit - and how to get one, particularly tricky ingredient.
What are the best recipes to make money?
The recipes in the table below are the most profitable to make and sell in the base game of Disney Dreamlight Valley:

You'll need a healthy amount of Star Coins in your purse to keep advancing through Disney Dreamlight Valley and beyond, so selling your cooked dishes can give you a good stack pretty quickly (particularly if you're someone who prides yourself on having an impressive collection of ingredients stored away).
Click to enlargeWhile the meals above are definitely the best for raking in the dough quicker than Scrooge McDuck could ever dream of, these dishes usually require some harder-to-get ingredients, like the Here and There fish.
How to get the Here & There fish
Both the Ghostly Fish Steak and the Lioness Feast require the Here and There fish, which can only be obtained by reaching level 10 friendship with Nala and completing her associated questline, 'Here and There and Back Again'.
- As always, when fishing, make sure you have a fishing-based companion with you to increase the odds of a double reward
- The Here and There fish can only be caught between 6 - 10 AM and 6 - 10 PM

Once the questline is completed, the fish can then spawn in any biome, in and outside of ripples. To increase your odds, it's best to fish outside of ripples to limit the chances of catching other fish varieties during this time and maximise your farming.

Cooking in Disney Dreamlight Valley is relatively straightforward, as all you need is a cooking station, ingredients to experiment with, and a lump of Coal - which is a common enough resource that can be gathered from mining rocks and ores.
Once you unlock the Ratatouille realm and bring Remy to the valley, you'll then also gain access to his restaurant, Chez Remy.
Here, you can buy dairy ingredients and cater to the valley's inhabitants by making meals for them.
Luckily, to cook, you won't need to bring all of your ingredients with you. This means that they can be stored in chests throughout your world and can still be accessed at a cooking station, regardless of whether you're in Chez Remy or not.
How many recipes are there?
There are a total of 190 recipes in the base game of Disney Dreamlight Valley, categorised into different dish types. As of this page's most recent update, there are:
- 41 appetizers
- 85 entrées
- 64 desserts
If you're someone who has the A Rift in Time expansion pass, though, there are even more recipes to make! In the DLC alone, there are 23 appetizers, 57 entrées, and 44 desserts for a total of 124!
