How to complete the Matchmaking Magic quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Matchmaking Magic quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is an optional extra WALL-E quest you can gain as part of the Dapper WALL-E Dream Bundle in the shop.

What's included in the Dapper WALL-E Dream Bundle?
The Matchmaking Magic quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is included in the bundle which costs 4,000 Moonstones to unlock. As well as new WALL-E quests, you'll also receive the following:

- Several new WALL-E quests
- Two exclusive outfits and accessories in the same dapper style

How to equip the WALL-E dapper clothing set
To equip WALL-E with his dapper clothing set, follow these steps:
- Go to the 'Collection' tab from the main menu (press the U key if on PC).
- Then, select 'Characters'.
- Select WALL-E.
- Click on 'Dapper WALL-E'.
How to start the Matchmaking Magic quest
The quest should automatically be added to your quest log upon completing the 'Sunday Best' quest. If you haven’t received it, you may not have met one of the prerequisites, which are:
- Complete the 'Sunday Best' quest.
- Recruit Minnie Mouse to the Valley. This means achieving at least level 8 friendship with Mickey and completing the associated friendship quests.
- Have friendship level 2 with Minnie to discover she has lost memories.
- Unlock the Peaceful Meadow, Dazzling Beach, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust Biomes.
- Progress the main story with Merlin enough to have unlocked Mother Gothel in the Glade of Trust.
Click to enlargeOnce these conditions are met, you will find the quest inside your journal menu under the 'Dream Bundle Quests' tab.
To continue, speak with WALL-E and you'll discover that he's enjoying his new dapper suit. In the spirit of old Hollywood, he would like to learn more about romance for EVE.
How to make Romantic Invitations
Click to enlargeThe first part of the quest will challenge you to find various romantic locations in the different Biomes. Follow WALL-E to several of the biomes before he settles on Dazzle Beach as the perfect spot.
Once there he will reveal his plans to matchmake the unlikely pair of Mother Gothel and Merlin, you'll need to make some Romantic Invitations to lead them to the beach.
To make the invitations you'll need the following ingredients:
- Softwood – this can be found underneath the trees of most biomes. It is most common in the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow.
- Purple Marsh Milkweed – this is a purple flower found within the Glade of Trust biome, near Mother Gothel's house.
- Empty Vial – this requires three Glass to make. Glass is crafted from Sand which can be dug up on the beach.
Once crafted, take the invitations to Mother Gothel and Merlin to complete the next stage of the quest.
How to make High Beach Torches
Click to enlargeAfter their disastrous date, hatch a plan with WALL-E to create a romantic moment for Minnie and Mickey instead. Create four High Beach Torch decorations to help set the vibe.
To create High Beach Torches you'll need the following materials:
- Fiber x20 – five Fiber can be crafted from Seaweed.
- Softwood x20 - this can be found underneath the trees of most biomes. It is most common in the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow.
- Sand x12 – simply dig along Dazzle Beach to collect Sand.
- Ruby - you need four gems, one for each torch. Ruby can be mined in Vitalys Mines or given for free from a promo code. Check out our Disney Dreamlight Valley codes page for more details.
- Topaz – can be mined in the Plaza.
- Peridot – Mined in either Dazzle Beach or the Peaceful Meadow
- Aquamarine – mined in either Dazzle Beach or the Forest of Valor.
Once crafted, take one of each torch to the romantic spot previously picked out by WALL-E, see the photo above for the location. If you place the items anywhere else, the game will not register them.
You will also need two chairs and a table. Any you already have in your furniture inventory will register, or you can create new ones out of Softwood at a Crafting Station.
Easiest three-course meal to cook for Minnie and Mickey
Click to enlargeThe next part of the quest will request you to make three meals for the pair. This includes:
- An appetizer
- An entrée
- A desert of at least four stars
You can check out our best recipe guide for the easiest 3, 4 and 5-star dishes to make in the game. An easy appetizer is the Seafood Appetizer, which only requires one Seafood to make.
Likewise, one of the easiest entrees to make is the Basil Omelette. The dish requires mostly dairy products (Egg, Cheese, and Milk) which can be bought from Chez Remy and Basil which grows freely in the Peaceful Meadow.
For a 4-star dessert, a good option is Fruitcake as it only requires Wheat (can be bought from Peaceful Meadow stall) and three fruits.
Once you have one of each meal, present them to the happy couple and relax knowing that romance has been restored to the Valley.
